I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Am 15 years old and all my life I been listening to Michael. His music brought joy to parent’s faces and everyone I know; now I don't know whether I should cry or smile whenever I hear Michael’s music. Am still in shock, in fact am in denial. While I was watching the news tears just started flowing, I didn’t realize I was crying until it got all blurry. I always had looked up to two people in the music business Michael Jackson and Chris Brown, without Michael we wouldn’t have a Chris Brown. As a kid I remember living in Haiti and every time there was a special broadcast of you we would all me, my brothers, my sisters, my parents, neighbors stop everything we were doing sitting so close to the TV watching you do what you do. Wow am in tears just writing this tribute. I miss you Michael the world will never be the same without you. You were my inspiration for dancing and music itself, laughing right now just thinking of when my brothers tries to imamate you doing the moon walk haha!.i want to thank god for letting us have a good 50 years of Michael Jackson though he lived a rough life having the media put false information about hem all the times, he never gave up, his true fans, like myself and family always supported him at everything he did. You touched lives of millions around the world its a shame you had to go so young. and DANM. i don't wana grow up and neither did Michael. people said he was not okay cause he love such elementary things...well now all you haters could stop hatin on him he’s gone but guess what? I grew up listening to the Jacksons music and then later Michaels. I thought he was extremely talented as a dancer and songwriter. I can't hear 'Billly Jean" or "Thriller" to this day without getting up to dance along. I can't believe he's gone.

wow it has been an awful thing for me to digest that michael jackson has passed. when i was five and first saw him dancing on the tv i made my sisters teach me how to moonwalk and every since then i have come to love dancing because he inspired me....i loved him....he will be truly missed and i will persue my dream to become a dancer...my devotion is because i loved michael.....i am in shock...it doesn't seem real and i can't bring myself to believe it but i know michael lives in my heart and my thoughts....I LOVE YOU MICHAEL......R.I.P. Since i first heard that M.J is dead,i just can't stop crying.

I never saw one of his concerts,in 1992 he was performing a concert in Romania(where i am from),and couldn'tgo to the concert,i was to little,and my parents didn't had enough money.I have an audio casette,the Dangerous album,and i was watching his carrer on tv.

Now i have on pc his whole discography...but all this doesn't help me to get over his death.I can't say that i love him like others fans...i just love the man Michael Jackson was,i appreciate his music,his voice,his style,and the thing that he hepled people and kids...no one will replace you Michael,at least not in my heart!

I truly belive Michael was bourn to be THE KING, he had that star dust, that PURE MAGIC in him. I belive the only other one that had the magic in him was Elvis, but the difference between them was that Michael hit the ground runing and that is why he is greater (in my opinion). For all of us that were so lucky as to grow up with his music, to see the genius of his work - he will always be a part of us, of our soul, he was like takeing a breath of pure oxigen, it released the love in you. Right now I'm feeling sad to have lost him, at times I think it's not true, it can't be... and also happy to see so much love for him, to see that he really is in so many hearts and will live on in our souls .

I simply didn't believe what I saw on the internet that day...I had just finished my last classes that night, when I received such bad news...I barely could believe what my eyes tried to show me...Nobody believed me when I screamed that desperately at work...everybody laughed, then finally a deep silence reigned the room...Everybody was shocked!!! I am devastated and beside myself about the death of an icon. I have followe Michael since I was 13 ( I am now 38) and he has impacted my life so much. i have seen him 3 times in concert and I will have to treasure those memories. Thinking of going to LA for funeral but not easy as I live in new Zealand....but its important to me..

Our very complex Renaissance man, Michael Jackson, lived his life a visual as well as musical artist, creating a look beyond where his body could take him, as the canvas, creating amazing steps to the rhythm, poetry for the world. His children, I hope, will grow knowing his family and his friends well, and will not squander their lives under pressures of expectation, wealth and fame.

I was a little girl when I first listened to Michael's songs, and though I did not understand any of the lyrics because I could only speak Portuguese I tried to sing his songs. But I was so little that I did not know it was Michael Jackson singing. In 1984 when the fever resulting of the 'Thriller' video began I was a teenager, and I was entirely aware of whom Michael was. I became one of his millions self-proclaimed 'number 1' fans, and did not forget him anymore. I love him. It is very sad to have to believe he is physically dead now.

On friday morning I remembered being crazy in love with MJ when I was 7, lol. it was around 92 & me and my friend used to to tell each other our fantasies everyday at school. we were kids, but he was already our prince charming. then I remember how each of his videos used to be played over and over on MTV, mimicking his moves as we could. and every time I would remember something specific about my childhood, I would break a smile. Even if after Invincible, I didn't pay much attention to him, learning the news was a terrible punch in the face. anybody who is capable of taking me so far back in my childhood memories deserve my gratitude.

I still don't believe he's gone and I don't think I ever will. I equate his death to saying that Disneyland is dead or Coca Cola is dead. it's absurd.

Just like he lived a very unique life, he will remain a very unique icon.

I'm forever grateful for the way he impacted my life and I will celebrate his life.

My prayers go to his family. May God give you the strength and wisdom to go through these hard times.

Michael's death is a tragic and very unexpected event. I grew up listening to Michael's Music, especially in my days in college. My condolences go to all the members of his family. I didn't even know i liked him this much, but apparently i do. The min i found out he had died, i burst out into tears and it just kept coming. All day. I never thought he'd die..this young. I was doing ballet at 7 years old and we were supposed to dance on one if His songs (Heal the world). I remember i couldn't stop myself from crying during the rehearsals. :(.. When i received the first tape with Him I was the most happy. I played it over and over, and never get bored of it. As all little girls dream of getting married one day, I was fully in love with Him and wished so much to meet him.. at least. There were so many nights when i felt asleep thinking about Him and dreaming... I love His music!! When I heard the news I cried. I grew up listening to his music, I know mostly every song. It hurts that I won't be able to be at his memorial service or his public funeral. I know you're not going to be able to read this Michael, but your music and you as a person has changed the world in a way that NO ONE will be ever to top. I loved you sooo much. I really wish I could have met you; we could have watched Disney movies together and had fun like "kids" should. You are such an inspiration to me and no matter what anyne says about you, all of the horrible things people say, I will always stand up for you, and I have on many occasions. People are incredibly stupid but you neverrrr let them let you down. You "found peace within your life". When you died, it felt like some of me was ripped out with you. I too had a horrible and abusive father who never allowed me a proper childhood or the freedom to believe what I wanted. To this day, I'm 16, and I hate the thought of growing up. I want to live like I do now fired now that he's not with my mom and I anymore. You were an amazing father and your music tells me that you were an amazing husband and such also. It would have made my life complete to meet you, and I'd have been one of those girls that stands in the front row at your concert crying and fainting and what not had I been able to go. I've been listening to nothing but your music since the day you died, and I've watched just about every music possible. If anyone ever dares to compare themseles to you, I'll laugh. It's completely impossible to try to be even remotely like you in any way. I rememer watching thriller when I was 4 on tv telling my mom how it was real and when she tried to convince me it wasn't, I was unable to be persuaded. Haha :)

But I am so upset that you're gone now, you were the biggest music icon in the history of the world and I'm so glad I was able to be alive during some of your "reign". The King of Pop will be terribly missed by everyone and you will be remembered by everyone who matters by your completely breath taking amounts of talent and not the utterly ridiculous and disgusting rumors that flew around because the media was bored and had nothing better to do than harass and insult you. You were the most amazing entertainer in the world! I loved you and your music since I was a little girl. I was lucky to see you in concert, and I still feel that "magic" when I watch you perform. I know I am probably going to be repeating the same things that many have already said about the genius of Michael Jackson. But it is true, he was a motherf--kin genius, he was right up there with Elvis, John Lennon and many others we have lost in the music business. I think the song that made me cry the most, I couldn't even sing it without crying was Heal The World, that song fits MJ's personality perfectly, he had a warm heart, spirit and made the world a better place with him being in it. Now that he is gone, he cane share that spirit with the angels in Heaven. Michael is rocking out with John, Elvis, burning a guitar with Jimi Hendix and singing with Ray Charles on a cloud of sunshine. Okay that sounded really corny, but sweet. Sorry to go on and on, but Michael was a loving individual who will be missed and it breaks my heart to say this, but rest in peace Michael and you will always be the King of Pop.

MJ is truly one of a kind. There'll never be another like him. My interest in MJ's music started after watching the "Beat It" video clip and has since followed all his music. He is truly incredible. My fond memories of the 80's has MJ's music in it. So his passing is deeply felt. Like every human being, he too has his shortcomings. Nobody is perfect. I hope the press will not print MJ is negative light. He deserves nothing but praise for brining happiness to so many people for over 4 decades. He is truly the King of Pop.

I've loved Michael Jackson since the very beginning as a Jackson 5. It has so many songs I love as much as him. I've always been very defensive of him. Losing him was like losing family. He was one of a kind. A remarkably gifted and talented artist who will forever be treasured in my heart and missed. I was so dumbfounded by his death but after the shockwave the tears came. It is very sad to see Michael go. Although I had never met him in person, I sure felt I grew up with him. I remember how I used to enjoy imitate his dance moves when I was in elementary school; how I used to show them off at high school dances; how it was always fun to hear his legendary tunes in my clubbing years; and how it was so much fun to show my 14months old baby boy recently.

My regret is that I never seen you live. I had the best tickets when your world tour was planned to go to Hong Kong, but it was canceled. Now I am all grown up, I was looking forward to see your new London 50. sigh sigh, I of many will miss you.

It has been almost a week and still my tears come from nowhere without warning. We were born 2 months apart, and from the very beginning of the Jackson 5 to now it seems you have remained a constant in my life. I was a devoted fan long before that moment when you singled me out of the concert crowd and laughed as you said 'hello, I've heard a LOT about you today'. There has never been a moment I have not been proud to be a Michael Jackson fan, nor a moment when I would remain silent while others took delight in putting you down and trying to destroy you.

I cannot imagine a world without you in it and think I somehow assumed we would both be on this earth a lot longer. Your passing has not only been full of sorrow, but has been a precious reminder such things should not be taken for granted. The world has grown a little sadder, a little lonelier without you, but the outpouring of love and grief across the globe is once and for all proof of what a wonderful person you were both in and out of the music world, and how bright your star shines despite continuous efforts of those who sought to blot it out. You are one of the unique people who are too few in this world, but through their open and honest love and life, leave an indelible footprint for all eternity. It is sad it took this for so many to stop and acknowledge you for who you were, and your truth, instead of putting that energy into trying to destroy or deny you. When i was little i remember the bad album been played over and over again. That was it but when i arrived at school on the 26th, i uncovered that the king of pop passed away. Having no understand of you whats so ever i didnt feel a thing until in christian education when we had a discussion about your childhood. I went home that night staying up to 1pm surfing the net trying to gather all information i could find. There was programmes on mtv about you from the tragedy till now. Its a funny thing but i am definite that i am not the only person who had become a fan after your death, or should i say admirer. I had never felt sad for losing someone, and to realise there would never be another michael jackson album or concert is just heart breaking. All other loyal fans grew up listening to your music or whatever, they had hope and excitement for one day they might get to go toyour concert or lining outside a store so they could grab your newest album before others. But thats the feeling i will never get. Rest in peace, although you left us but you will always live in my heart...

I thank you Michael Jackson for many years of wonderful memories. I am 50 years old....just a couple months older than you actually. I grew up listening to you and your brothers. My first "45" was ABC and I still have it. Although I knew Michael was my age, it still amazed me to watch him grow up. I married in my early 20's and had a set of twins. They too grew up listening to Michael Jackson, but it was a different era for Michael, solo and on his own....his best in my opinion. When my twins were two, I had the Off the Wall album booming on the boom box and all of a sudden I found myself dancing in the living room with my 2 year olds......two generations bonding to the music of the same individual that I grew up listening to. I thank you Michael for that memory. My son was the first one to give me the news. He was deeply saddened and we talked for a while about the memories we had with MJ's music. Michael has profoundly touched our lives in ways that his family will never know. One of my twins, my daughter, now lives in LA. maybe no one of us can imagine, how lonely this man must have been. locked in the cage of his fame, never been able to have a normal life, like just simply having a walk with some friends through a city. just imagine how it must feel never to be able to go out. i think he was sourrounded only by people looking at him as a money-making-factory, presenting him like people did with dancing bears not a long time ago. it is deeply sad and disappointing, how cruel the masses can be. instead of LISTENING to what this man had to tell through his music, it seemed to be more interesting to harm him and then to satisfy a sadistic voyeurism watching him beeing destroyed in public. no wonder, that he choosed bubbels as his friend. i am deeply ashamed to live among such people. just leave him alone and do not use his funeral as another money source.

Michael was always such a special person...from the time he was a child, he had a work ethic that wouldn't quit. He gave us his all and all he wanted in return was for us to appreciate what he worked so hard to give us...there will NEVER be another entertainer like Michael....he is the end of an era and it breaks my heart to think that his life was cut short... his children won't be able to enjoy the immense amount of love that he had to give them...I pray that he will be at peace now because he deserves this more than anything. When he came in '92 in Romania, i was in my room, dancing and singing with him. I was so lucky that where he had his concert was near my house. Then i was only 5 , but , after all this years, i can remember every moment from that night.

I received numerous of letters and autographed pictures, but this is something I would never forget....a personal phone call that came around 3am my time(eastern). The voice gently said he was Michael Jackson, but my dad didn't believe him and hung up the phone. I was so angry with my dad because that was my opportunity to finally hear an angels voice. When I found out that he died, my heart broke! I grew up listening to his music, and watching him perform. He was an amazing human being, with such a childlike innocence. No one will ever come close to Michael Jackson. It hurts me to hear people talk about him badly, I know in my heart that he never hurt any child! I have children of my own, and would not have hesitated one minute to have them spend time with him! That would have been one of the safest places in the world for them! It's hard to believe his life ended this way, and I only wish I could have been there to help him through. I pray for his children and his family, and that he now rest in peace.

All started with you making me dream, even fancy, and smile, and then dance and then being surprised and wonder and finally shoched when that 25th June standing in my hotel room surrounded by ants !!!! i read on CNN screen that you are dead ...

But to that day i still dont believe it and wil not believe it because i will never meet you but i am here for you ... and i understand you .... but how can we love someone never met ...

I feel like one of my best friends have died. I'm still in shock, I grew up listening to you and now my son knows who you are and what a great person you were. I was a huge fan of Michael Jackson when i was a kid.. I remember i played Moonwalker with my friends on the Sega Megadrive which to me is one of the greatest games of all time, I also remember going to his Dangerous tour concert in 1992 here in Stockholm, Sweden. I still can't believe he's gone. I actually shed a few tears when i first heard that the king of pop passed away. Wish i could come to Neverland and say farewell properly but i don't have the money for it so i'm gonna drop a goodbye here. Rest in peace and one big love to the rest of the Jackson family from me in Sweden.

There is something special about his music that just pulls you in. He skillfully wrote music and did not depend on raunchy lyrics to sell his music. There is definitley a lesson in that for musicians of today to learn. Micheal was incredible and I will truly miss him.

I am going to defy the rule of not judging the contents of a packet by its cover….and I am going to ask you - who was MJ really?

While his fans proudly tell me of his unique style, his critics spitefully talk of his allegations and his debts…

I was but a child when his career was at its peak,but I joyfully danced to his catchy and *different but endearing* voice.. and I shamefully admit I never thought of MJ during the time he was off the scene….. its his death that shocked me and awakened in me the admiration I had of this man-child. I really started to care for earth and man after he delivered with passion, songs that roused that part of my heart….

For the very 1st time in my life,I am downloading his songs on2 my comp, and my heart grieves on a personal level for a man I hardly knew.

And yet I know him.

The man in the mirror who stares back at me has a white face, a scary structure, a unique style which my rapidly changing mood strangely treasures to heart, haunting eyes that have hidden shadows, devoid of all emotion…

I love him for the man he was. And what was he?

A passionate,caring creature who sadly strayed off the path. To me, he plasted on that white mask so that none could identify his true nature..one that would attract sympathy,and I can tell, pity he did not want.

He seemed to take on his suffering without question, and remained silent about it all…

We loved him for his music didn’t we? He may have not said much,but he reciprocated our love in greater measure…. Through the passion and devotion in his music, that touched our hearts and calmed our souls…. Such pure,genuine,beautiful energy that flowed thru him in his music, it vastly contrasted with the white emotionless mask he donned……..with his silence, He hid his feelings from us all. The fact that he created Neverland ranch for the kids, shows how much he understood the magical side of life…he wanted the kids to be transported in2 the world of magicdom where one could be free and delighted! and which was probly why he stayed there too!

But inside his loneliness,his despair,his confusion and loss of direction was slowly killing him. And I don’t think anyone cared about him enough right then to give him love and free him from pressures..

He cared nought for himself, he had already resigned his heart to the peaceful causes of the earth and poor people..he aimed to bring change, he achieved it, and *that was it*..he had played his part, it was time to go.he did not fight the forces that spoiled his name and ruined his picture,and probly even stopped his heart from beating,you see…….. yet he GAVE US HIS ALL, and inspired us to a good change of heart.(well for me atleast)

And unfortunate as I am to not know him personally,I know I will always carry respect and love for the man in him that he hid from us….. and i will always pray that he may reach a heaven of pure affection and beauty, and that he may finally be happy..and free..

I hope you can somehow read this MJ-we love you for everything you stood for and everything you were.. and the lyrics of ‘’You are not alone’’—are so so appropriate for us at this time…so very comforting to hear your words thru that song….

Michael Jackson...I look at that name and still can't believe he is gone, Gone too soon. All the bad press that is coming out on him is not right. He has family he left behind, They are in such pain as many of his fans are. The last time I felt this sad was August 16, 1977 when another King was taken from us too soon The King of Rock and Roll Elvis Presley. I liken this to Elvis, I blame the doctors for their deaths. If it was prescriptive drugs that killed Michael, I blame the doctors. It doesn't matter how much money you have, It shouldn't buy you drugs. This great Legend would still be here if it weren't for the doctor's writing up the prescriptions. When is this going to stop? Who is held accountable for this?

They were showing medical people going into the hospital with his body and then they where saying he is not dead, i was so happy that tears where going down my cheek. and 30 minutew gone by and the news kept saying jackson has died on his way to the hospital and i was confused "what i thought they said he"s alive" now what is he dead or alive? A significant portion of my soul has been ripped out with his passing. It’s like a bad dream that won’t end, but it is oh too real. I was awestruck with his ability to have compassion for all people, especially those that suffered. We Are The World, Heal The World, Man In the Mirror are the songs that reflected who Michael really was. He was truly a gift from God bringing so much joy to others while his own life was filled with so much pain. We have lost a truly amazing human being. His achievements on all levels clearly outweigh his faults, and even if I live to be 100, I will always mourn his loss. Michael, I pray that you are now resting in the arms of Jesus. I was very excited when I heard that Michael Jackson was going to do another tour, but then we were stricken with the news of his tragic death. I believe that Michael had a great influence on the music of the 70's 80's and 90's. He was just 4 years younger than me and I can remember growing up listening to THE JACKSON 5. He was an extremely talented musician and the world will miss that talent. I pray for his children and his family. I ask that God give them strength during this very difficult time in their lives.

I have not been able to accept you death I have cried almost everyday, I remember in jr high school we had a talent show and one of my classmates whom I had a crush on had your initials and almost looked like you, but anyway his talent was singing Thriller and he did a great job at it, but you are and will always be the best. I loved you from watching you and your brothers perform on Soul Train and American Bandstand, sure I was a little girl and I looked forward to seeing you. Michael Jackson was indeed a musical genius who I believe has gone too soon. I can remember looking at him as a kid wondering if there will ever be someone as great as he is. I remember I was bout 6 0r 7 riding around in the back of a yellow pinto Through Los Angles listening to thriller. To say that music is a big part of my life would be an understatement. On more than one occasion music has saved my life. It's not something I listen to. It's something I feel. With that being said, it's important for me to reflect on my first real musical memory. Michael Jackson's Thriller. My dad purchased the making of video on VHS and I remember saying to him, "Dad!! What happened to Michael Jackson!" I was really scared of the whole thing. I was 6. Being that I was such a music junky, I didn't want barbie dolls, I wanted records. My dad got me the Thriller album, which I still have to this day. I have spent my entire life loving Michael's music. Though I don't remember it my dad said he used to play the Off the Wall album for me when I was a baby cause I loved it so much. When I saw the video for Remember the Time I was completely blown away. When I heard You Rock my World all I wanted to do was dance. I'm 30 now. I loved Michael Jackson since before I can remember, and I deeply saddened that he is gone.

Michael, Thank you for all the wonderful sounds you brought to our lives. Thank you for sharing that part of you with the world. You're music was a HUGE part of my life, and I will cherish it always along with your memory.

It is truly sad that we lost Michael so soon. I remember sitting in front of the television as a child waiting for the prime time airing of his videos; the jordache jeans, the red leather jacket... We were all affected in some way or another by his greatness.

His gift was one that many either never truly understood, took for granted or took advantage of. I believe he gave wholeheartedly with innocence and generosity.

For those who call him wacko, I simply ask that you take into consideration the meaning of 'Peter Pan' syndrome and understand that he was truly an innocent child inside. Think of what a 10 yr old child would do in those situations and you'll see that the actions were the same (you burn a 10yr old and he runs to his room and hides away and doesn't want to come out). Can you expect all the fame thrust upon a young child to result in normalcy?

What is normalcy? We all still are trying to define normal, the norm, what everyone should be like. Michael was not ordinary. He was extraordinary. His gifts to the music industry and the world will be long remembered.

My heart goes out to his family and although they don't need it and my words may not mean anything, if there is anything I can do, please let me know.

it was in the early nineties when we had a video collection of michael jacksons music. i would watch it every day or so, just to know what move is next and know all the words said. thriller scared me at first, i thought it was reall untill i realised its just a movie. how i always wished i knew how to dance his moves, but his lyrics were so strong. i continue to watch his music continue, even when he got married to liza, then the tabloits came in and stories here and ther, but i belived in his innocese and what ever really happened i still considered him as the legendary Michael Jackson.

I hope that there is some kind of procession or whatever involving his casket. I realize the fans aren't part of his actual family. But a "viewing" does give finality to things. I think it was much easier to believe that Princess Diana was gone because we all got to watch her funeral & see the casket. I think the same applies here.

Yes, Michael is an icon. But his value is so much greater than that. This gentle, kind, loving man gave, not only his money, but his time and his heart to people all over the world. He inspired us to give likewise and to make the world a better place. Michael was put to the test like none of us have or ever will be, and yet remained gentle and loving to the end.

The Lord used this beautiful man in such a powerful and moving way. He touched the hearts of people in sweet and positive ways. In ways that many of us won't ever touch even one. This is why Satan attacked him through the media and the public, (those who weren't fans,) to try to prevent the spread of the kindness that he showed. But he remained faithful and in doing so, moved us even further.

I have loved this man my entire life, being just 8 years younger than he is, he has always been there. It is amazing how much a part of our lives he was, even though we may not have been, as individuals, a part of his. My heart is heavy and I feel a loss as though I knew him personally. He had a way of revealing himself to his fans that touched us this way. No other artist has shown himself to his fans so openly through his writing and his passionate delivery of it. There was such a sincerity in his words to us when he yelled out, "I love you all!". Just words from many famous people, but sincerity from Michael Jackson. And we knew it, didn't we? We all knew he meant it.

To his family and friends, I offer my sincere sympathy. I will continue to pray for you through this difficult time. To my fellow fans, I cry with you and it helps to know that I am not alone in my mourning.

it is not very like me to do this, in fact I've never done this before...

I have very mixed feelings about everything I have heard about Michael Jackson, but these mixed feelings were fed by the media and how they wished to portray him. No one can ever be sure about what really happened, but being a child of the Michael-Jackson-generation I can trully say that I never really could believe everything that he was being accused off, to be trully honest I kind of always realised that what he gave up for the world and what he thought he had to be, is something not a lot of us would and could be able to do.... in my opinion he gave us what we expected of him despite of his own happiness.

To say that I will miss him pesonally is bull because I don't know him personally, but I will miss the fact that Michael Jackson is no more....

When I was growing up you were very cool if you played Michaels Jackson songs at your parties and I still know how to do the moonwalk (I'm 37, mother of two, and I stll know how to moonwalk!!!!)

I also remember re-enacting the thriller dance every day again, in the street in front of my aunties house whiit all my cousins, everyday at the age of 12...

I grew up listening to Michael Jackson. I respected his music as well as him as a person. Through every trial and tribulation that was sent to him in life he remained strong and vigilant against his adversaries, caring and devoted to those in need, and loving and doting to his children. Even when the world turned it's back on Michael, he did not turn his back on the world, for he knew that one day they would see the error in their ways. Too bad it took his death to make them understand.

The first time I remember hearing Michael Jackson was in 1983, when I was 4 years old. The Thriller album was such an incredible collection of music that it stuck with me all these years. As I grew, I continued to appreciate his music, including the songs that were recorded earlier, when he was a child himself. My love of Michael Jackson spurred my love of music, and I still sing every day because of it. Now that I am grown, I share his music with my own child in the hopes that it will do the same for him. It saddens me that the only knowledge my son will have of Michael will be from recordings and my own memories, but I hope it will be enough.

I will never forget where I was the moment that I heard of the passing of this great man. I was at work, taking care of an elderly client who had recently suffered a heart attack. I had just turned on the television in an attempt to find a baseball game for my client when a news break came in. Neither my client or myself could believe what we were hearing. Needless to say, we never found a game because we never changed the station. We spent the rest of the time that I was there talking about Michael Jackson, sharing our memories of him and his music, and how unfair it was that he had been taken away at such a young age. I bonded with an 82 year old man over our shared love of the King of Pop, which was something we did not know we shared until that moment.

Michael Jackson, King of Pop, you are more than an Icon. You are a Legend, a true pure soul who not only taught the world how to sing and dance, you taught the world how to live. Your generosity is inspirational, your kindness, immeasurable. You touched the heart and soul of all who knew your name. There will never be another person as benevolent and gifted as you. Although your soul has left us and moved on to a better place, your memory will echo forever through the music you made and the lives that you touched. Rest in peace, Michael Jackson. You may be gone, but you will never be forgotten.

I remember listening to ABC and thinking "who is this kid with the incredible voice?" and when I found out, I was so excited to know that someone a little younger than me could be so talented. Even then I felt sorry for him because i knew he would have no childhood. When he grew up and created Neverland with all the rides and fun, I was finally happy for him..thinking he now could have his childhood. Thank God he had kids to share his wonderful childlike nature with. His music grew up but he didn't and I am happy he didn't. I am going to miss everything about him. His unique lifestyle was as unique as his music. He as a true innocent surrounded by a corrupt world. Long live Michael Jackson's spirit.

wow what can i say, i remember standing in front of the T.V. dancing and singing like he would. everyday waiting for them to play his music .i feel like part of me has died and gone with him.i will never forget him may he rest in peace.

Michael, there are truly not enough "glorifying" words in the dictionary to describe what you meant in my life; my family's life. Your music goes back in time with us to the mid 70's until now. Your sweet, innocent persona will always be remembered. There was never a time that I can recall you being angry (maybe sad) but not angry. Even though adversity was imminent, you still came out on top a trooper. Michael, your death has affected me so much (as if I lost a family member). However, your death brings back several haunting memories for my family because my older brother passed away the same exact way you did....But slightly changing the subject, you will live forever in the hearts of people who really loved you and appreciated you. There was only "one" true King of Pop and that is and "was" you. May your life-force rest eternally with Jehovah and always remember......
